Hello beautiful people and welcome to my first DIY post! Yay! I was really excited to make this project for you guys because I think that hands on projects are really fun to do. This week I'm showing you how to make a homemade mason jar soap pump. It's really simple, but really fun to make, plus you can decorate it however you want. I left the jar plain to show how it really looks, but I'll be decorating it later. Enjoy!
Materials:
Hot glue gun
Liquid soap
Soap pump
Hammer
Screwdriver
Knife
Marker
Mason Jar
Instructions:
1. Mark the center of the mason jar's lid with the marker
2. Align the screw driver with the mark that you previously made on the center of the mason jar's lid
3. Using the hammer, hit the top of the screwdriver until the screw driver punches through the lid (See photos below)
4. Remove the screwdriver from the lid and set aside along with the hammer
5. Then take the knife and put the end of it into the hole that you made with the screwdriver
6. Twist and move the knife around to create a hole large enough to fit the soap pump. Try to make the hole and the pump fit as snug as possible. As the hole gets larger you have to put in a bit more elbow grease to get the job done.

7. Be sure to test the hole size every once and a while to avoid making the hole too large. To test it just try to fit the pump into the hole.
8. Once the pump fits in the hole, glue the pump to the jar. (View pictures above)
9. (Optional) You can also glue together the two lid pieces of the mason jar. When you separate a mason jar's lid there are two pieces. There's the cap and there's the screw. You can glue those together for a smoother finish. (See image below)

10. After everything is glued, be sure to scrape of the extra glue showing on the outside of the jar and its lid
11. Then you can fill up the jar with any kind of liquid soap or hand sanitizer that you want!

I really hope that you guys enjoyed this tutorial, and I apologize for the late update. I've been all over the place, but once everything calms down I will try my hardest to stay on schedule. DIYs are very hard to explain when your only visuals are pictures, so if the directions were unclear let me know and I'll email you back or respond to you with a simpler how-to. Thanks Guys!
